WSOP “November 9” Preview – Joshua Beckley Sits 7th in Chips

November 9

Leading up to the World Series of Poker Main Event final table, Rakeback.com will profile each of the “November 9” players. The tournament resumes November 8th at 8:30 pm ET. First place pays a staggering $7,680,021. Here is a look at Joshua Beckley, who currently sits in 7th chip position.

  • Seat: 3 — Joshua BeckleyJoshua Beckley
  • Chip Count: 10,800,000 (7th chip position)
  • Location: Marlton, New Jersey
  • Age: 24
  • Profession: Poker Player
  • Lifetime Earnings: $219,185
  • Biggest Poker Score: 2014 Parx Big Stax VII — 1st Place ($98,348)

Joshua Beckley has only been playing poker professionally for about a year, but what a year it’s been. The 24 year old Marlton, New Jersey native has put together $247,988 in live cashes, not including his minimum WSOP Main Event payout of $1,001,020.

In 2014 he won the Parx Casino Big Stax VII event for over $98K, and most recently, last month took down a WSOP Circuit event in Florida for another $22K. Results like these earn opportunity, so it was no surprise to see Beckley become an Americas Cardroom sponsored pro after making the November 9.

He had this to say about his new sponsorship deal, “They’re running like the biggest tournament right now, the Million Dollar Sundays $1 million guaranteed, and I played with them before, before our deal, before I made the final table. I played for three years on their site, and they’re giving the US a site to play on and I’ve cashed out and everything is going really smoothly, so I support them for sure.”

Beckley will be looking to keep his “run good” streak rolling, as he heads into final table action with just 29 big blinds. He’ll have to get it in good and secure an early double up if he’s to have any chance at becoming this year’s WSOP Main Event champion.

The final table resumes November 8th at 8:30 pm ET live on ESPN. Leading up to the final table, ESPN will also be airing weekly coverage of the 2015 WSOP Main Event Championship.

Next week we’ll meet, eighth in chips Patrick Chan from Brooklyn, New York, USA.
