The Global Poker Index (GPI) is a ranking used to track the world’s best live tournament poker players. The index currently ranks over 300,000 players around the world.
American, Steve O’Dwyer, who now lives in Dublin, Ireland continues to lead the way. O’Dwyer is a high roller specialist and has amassed over $15 million in life time tournament earnings.
He has now lead the GPI rankings for nearly three months. Most recently, he won a WSOP International Circuit High Roller event in Tbilisi, Georgia for $31,500. (pictured below)
Team PokerStars pro Stephen ‘stevie444’ Chidwick of the United Kingdom rounds out this week’s top 10.
The GPI rankings will again be at the forefront next week, as team managers of the Global Poker League will make their wildcard selections on April 5th.
Players ranked in the top 1000 of the GPI, who opted into the league draft are eligible to be selected.
