Betfair Poker's Caesar's Cup Team Event is shaping up to be a big success, with some of the biggest names in poker having already confirmed their participation.

Betfair Poker's Caesar's Cup Team Event is shaping up to be a big success, with some of the biggest names already confirmed their participation. In a month's time both teams will battle it out to see who takes the Caesar's Cup trophy. It is loosely based on Golf's Ryder Cup format, where a team from America will take on a team from Europe.

Caesar's Cup Team America

Team America have already confirmed Kid Poker himself, Daniel Negreanu, as the team captain. Negreanu has already chosen three members of his team, which have all confirmed that they will play. Phil Hellmuth, Phil Ivey and John Juanda have all confirmed their participation in the Caesar's Cup Team as part of the American team. Betfair have also mentioned some suggestions for team America that might feature in the event. Players such as Doyle Brunson, Chris Ferguson, Justin Bonomo, David Pham and Tom Dwan have all been mentioned as possibilities to feature for Team America.

Caesar's Cup Team Europe

Team Europe have also confirmed their captain. Annette Obrestad has been confirmed as captain for Team Europe in this years Caesar's Cup. Obrestad has also been quick out the blocks in picking three members of the European Team, which have also all confirmed the that they will be there. With Peter Eastgate, Dario Minieri and Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier being the first three players to confirm their participation. Like the American's, their has also been speculation to who will feature in the team, filling the rest of the spaces. Patrick Antonius, David Benyamine, Gus Hansen, Carlos Mortensen, Marcel Luske and Chris Moorman have all been mentioned as possibilities for Team Europe by Betfair Poker.

By the time the Caesar's Cup starts on September 26th, both teams will have been confirmed prior to the Event, with one space available on the European's team available for one online qualifier from Betfair Poker.
