1. What is rake?
Rake is a fee that a poker room takes from each pot as profit. The amount of rake taken generally ranges from $0.05 to $3 per pot, depending on the limit that you play and the size of the pot.

2. How much rake do I generate?
Poker rooms know exactly how much rake you individually pay on each pot, but this amount is not visible on the poker client. You only see the total amount of rake taken from a pot. The formula to calculate your rake varies, but most poker rooms use a simple method where the total rake is divided evenly among all players that were deal cards. For example if ten players are deal cards and the rake is $2, then each player has contributed $0.20 of rake. You may use our Rakeback Calculator to estimate your rake.

3. What is rakeback?
Rakeback is a loyalty program for online poker players. With rakeback you can get a refund of the rake payments that poker rooms have already charged from you. To read more about rakeback, please see the How rakeback works? page.

4. What do I need to do to get rakeback?
To get rakeback, you first need to register an account at our website. After that you can choose a poker rakeback room and go to that room´s rakeback sign up page. Follow the instructions on the rakeback sign up page to get rakeback.

5. Can I get rakeback to a poker room where I already have an account?
No. Our rakeback loyalty programs are for new accounts only, unless stated otherwise. Why? See the 9. Where rakeback payments come from? section further down this page for explanation.

6. Can’t I just open another account for rakeback?
No. Opening more than one account with same personal details is not allowed by poker rooms.

7. Do I still get bonuses if I sign up for rakeback?
Yes, you are eligible for the sign up bonus and all other bonuses unless stated otherwise.

8. Will bonuses affect my rakeback?
Apart from a few poker rooms, bonuses that are released into your account affect your rakeback. Remember that rakeback is a refund of the profit that you generate for a poker room. So if a poker room pays you a bonus, the bonus is generally deducted from your total rake (poker room profit) before your rakeback refund is calculated. For example if you generate $200 in rake and clear a $100 bonus, on most poker rooms on a 30% rakeback deal you would get ($200 – $100) * 30% = $30 rakeback.

9. Where rakeback payments come from?
Rakeback.com has signed an affiliate contract with each respective rakeback poker room. We agree to refer new players to these poker rooms, and they in turn will pay Rakeback.com a share of the lifetime profit that our players generate. The rakeback loyalty payments are made from this commission we get for referring loyal customers to their poker room. Since the poker rooms know exactly how much rake you generate, we are able to pay you rakeback accordingly.

So in effect you pay rake to the poker room, the poker room pays Rakeback.com a part of your rake as commission, and we will in turn pay you rakeback from our commission.

Since we only get commission on players that register a new account to a poker room with our link/code, we unfortunately cannot pay rakeback to players with an existing account at the poker room.

10. Will I get rakeback from tournament fees?
Yes. You will get rakeback from sit-and-go and multi table tournament fees on all our current rakeback deals.

11. What is the rake contribution formula on Cryptologic Network?
On Cryptologic Network the rake is dividing evenly among all players that were dealt cards.

12. What is the rake contribution formula on Ongame Network?
Ongame uses a contributed method. To get assigned rake, a player must contribute money to the pot. The rake a player gets credited with is proportionate to the amount of his pot contribution. If you were to contribute $50 to a pot of $150 and the rake taken from that pot was $3, you would get credited with $1 of rake.

13. What is the rake contribution formula on Full Tilt?
On Full Tilt the rake is dividing evenly among all players that were dealt cards.

14. Do I need to wait for your confirmation before I deposit and start to play?
No. You can start playing right away. As long as your rakeback sign up has been successful, you get rakeback starting from your first raked hand.
