Tom Dwan's Million Dollar Online Poker Challenge aka Durrrr Challenge crossed the 10,000 hand milestone on April 9, when Dwan and Antonius played another 890 hands of Pot Limit Omaha at Full Tilt. As the conclusion railbirds witnessed two biggest pots of the challenge; Patrick picked up one pot worth $229K and Durrrr soon after one worth $292K. To sum up the totals for the session no cash stayed in either direction; durrrr won the day with basicly three big blinds in his pocket.
Antonius commented the 50,000-hand challenge earlier after an interview with Full Tilt. With no real schedule for the match he had his doubts about the Durrr Challenge getting finished before this year’s World Series of Poker especially at the rate they are currently playing. On top of challenge they are both constantly grinding away on other cash tables; Antonius is rumored to be up a couple of million this year and Dwan on the other hand had a disastrous beginning of 2009, but has recovered nicely during last two months.
Latest update from this heads-up match is from 14th of April. Antonius and Dwan had a short 28 minute session of 165 hands. The Finn won his second straight session totaling $84,000 with about 12,000 hands played in the challenge. The lead between the two poker professionals seems to shift quite frequently and the reason is no mystery; the biggest pot even in this short session was over $139,000 which is enough to turn things around once again.
