Full Tilt Poker Releases Official Update

By Ian Hiaring, Rakeback.com Poker News Staff Writer

Full Tilt PokerFTPDoug, or whoever may be behind that name these days on the Two Plus Two forums, released a brief official update from Full Tilt Poker. There’s no earth-shattering news in the update, just kind of a “Hey, we’re still working on it…” vibe.

Here are the highlights:

  • There is still no timeframe for when U.S. players will finally be able to cashout, but they’re working on it.
  • Full Tilt Poker is not bankrupt, but has had some “short-term challenges”.
  • The company is raising capital so it can pay out its U.S. players, and Full Tilt Poker has always paid out their players, even when it means a loss the company due to outside complications such as the U.S. government.
  • The Full Tilt Pros are silent on the current issues because of the pending legal actions.

In all, it’s pretty much a “non-update” update from Full Tilt Poker, but the company does make note of this fact, saying:

As a final note, we understand, and have always understood , the effect that our brief statements have had not only on our customers, but also on our reputation. It has not been easy to stay silent and watch the damage being done to our company brand and personal reputations, but we need to be mindful of the complicated and serious legal issues raised in the pending cases.
