Today, The Alderney Gambling Control Commission (AGCC) announced that a public hearing will be held regarding Full Tilt Poker's license application. The hearing is scheduled for May 3rd at 2:00pm at the Braye Beach Hotel in Alderney.
The application, originally filed on March 23rd, requests that Orinic Limited, a Full Tilt subsidiary, be granted a Category 2 license to offer online gambling.
At the time the application was filed, any individual had 14 days to submit objections to the AGCC. According to AGCC procedure, when such objections are received, the Commission approaches the objector with 2 options - they can choose to publicly voice their thoughts at a hearing, or they can simply submit them in writing and allow the AGCC to take them into consideration.
In this case, some party has chosen to voice their concerns publicly. This might not mean anyone is truly objecting to the application - it could simply mean that people want further information on the situation.
Rakeback.com will be sure to closely watch this situation, as a successful hearing may be one of the very last steps needed before Full Tilt can potentially open for business.
