Full Tilt Poker Rep Makes First Public Forum Post

August 9th, 2012 | 10:08 pm

Full Tilt Poker rep Shyam Markus - formerly FTPDoug - has made his first public forum post regarding the site's relaunch, and his first tweet as @FTPMarkus.

By James Spillane, Rakeback.com Staff Writer.

.
Who is this guy?

Shyam Markus is the Poker Room Manager in charge of ring games, tournaments, software features, and promotions at the soon to be resurrected Full Tilt Poker.

He has revealed that he was the man behind the handle 'FTPDoug', which for years fielded questions on the forums in regular 'FTP Answers' threads. Since 2006 he was the sole source of player support on the TwoPlusTwo poker forums, then becoming absent after Black Friday.

.

Cliffs?

In a long, frank forum post, FTPMarkus apologized to the online poker community for the difficulty of the past 15 months, thanked PokerStars for their decision to purchase FTP's assets, and promised to field questions as openly and transparently as possible.

  • The most likely relaunch date for Full Tilt Poker is late October or early November

U.S. based players:

  • Will be able to log in, but cannot join real money games
  • Must enter a remission process with the DOJ to retrieve their cash balances - they cannot delay action

There are plans to:

  • Establish a tax-free .eu site
  • Provide a fair resolution to issues of missing and partially cleared bonuses, and merchandise orders
  • Use the same player IDs (screennames) for all players
  • Allow other account currencies, e.g. Euros
  • Continue similar promotions with immediate effect
  • Reopen the Full Tilt Forums

It isn't yet clear:

  • What will happen to existing Full Tilt rakeback accounts
  • How players' Full Tilt Points (FTPs) will be reimbursed
  • How the Full Tilt Sponsored Pro roster will look after launch
Rakeback.com will have more #FullTilt updates as they become available.
