The International Stadiums Poker Tour is an ambitious project which aims to hold the largest poker tournament in the world.
The event, originally set to take place entirely at Wembley Stadium in London, has shifted its plan a bit this week - and the plans now include Rakeback.com partner room Lock Poker.
Late stages of the tournament will still take place at Wembley, but now there will be 6 starting days which will be played online. Lock Poker will be one of a select few online rooms with these Day 1s, and it is the ONLY site where American players will be able to win their way to Wembley.
The online Day 1 buy-in is set at 300 Euros, although qualifiers will run frequently (a schedule will be released soon on Lock Poker's website). It's also possible to buy into Day 2 directly so you can skip the online play altogether and head right to the stadium - that will cost 3,000 Euros, however.
Although there's no official guarantee on the prize pool, organizers are "very confident" that it will be greater than 10 million Euros.
This event might not get near the World Series of Poker Main Event in terms of prize pool, but it certainly has a shot to be the largest event of the year in terms of the number of players participating.
We'll keep you posted as additional details are made available, and remember that you'll need a Lock Poker account to qualify online!
