Some online poker rooms are grouped together on a network, and share the same player pool and tables. Poker networks are run by an operator and software provider, who licenses the technology to poker rooms. This way the network poker rooms can concentrate on serving players and running the room, while the back end is managed for them. One notable benefit is the critical mass of players and games from all the rooms in the network. Rooms on a network still retain their own branding and image, although the underlying technology is the same.
A few big poker rooms are independent and not part of any network.
