100,000 in starting chips and 50/100 in blinds with 90 minute levels have kept the gameplay fairly mellow; only 10% of the players have finished the tournament so far. On the other hand one of the notable eliminations was UltimateBet poker pro Phil Hellmuth; after arriving late at 4pm he got involved in a big pot with about half of his chip stack against Amnon Filippi, a recent WPT runner-up. Hellmuth ended up mucking his claimed pocket aces after convincing himself of Filippi hitting a set of kings on turn. On the second encounter a few hands later Hellmuth goes all-in after flopping two smaller pairs but unluckily faces Filippi's rivered set of Queens. As the result after two hands between the duo Hellmuth gets eliminated from the tournament with somewhat cold deck. Amnon Filippi is on 53rd position after Day 1 with 152,000 in chips.
