Day 5 at WPT Championship; Katchalov takes the lead over the Final 24

62 players returned for Day 4 at the 2009 World Poker Tour Championship at Las Vegas Bellagio. Steve Billirakis was forced to hand the lead over to Eugene Katchalov; Billirakis saw the pots moving away from him towards the end of the day, while Katchalov was bringing home huge pots and eventually took over. Scotty Nguyen eliminated Phil Ivey by calling Ivey's all-in with AK versus his A9 hitting his kicker on the flop. At the end of the night 24 players remained; on schedule for Day 5 is playing down to 10 players or through five levels, which ever comes first. Gameplay resumes on Thursday at noon Pacific time.
