WSOP Main Event TV Ratings Plummet

WSOP TV Ratings Down

WSOP TV Ratings

The ratings from the 2010 WSOP Main Event final table are down, way down. According to Wicked Chops Poker, the broadcast Tuesday night drew 1.563 million viewers, a decline of 26% from last year. Possible reasons for the decline could include the lack of big name players like Full Tilt Pro Phil Ivey making the final table. Even though Michael Mizrachi was at the final table, he is not exactly a household name. Also, ESPN3 broadcast the final table without hole cards on Saturday and Monday nights.

The numbers over the last four years:

2010 – 1.563 million viewers, 1.1 rating
2009 – 2.1 million viewers, 1.8 rating
2008 – 1.9 rating
2007 – 1.25 rating
