2011-12 WSOP Circuit Schedule – A Closer Look
By Scott Carlson, Rakeback.com Poker News Senior Writer
With the WSOP Circuit schedule being released recently, we thought we would give our reader a more in-depth looks into the schedule for the new season. Not only will each stop have 12 rings up for grabs in 12 days (except Tunica where it will be 18 days), each stop will feature the same tournament schedule.
Each stop will feature the following ring event breakdown:
- 5 – $345 No Limit Hold’em
- 1 – $345 No Limit Hold’em Turbo
- 1 – $345 No Limit Hold’em 6-Handed
- 1 – $345 HORSE
- 2 – $555 No Limit Hold’em
- 1 – $1,080 No Limit Hold’em
- 1 – $1,600 No Limit Hold’em
If you play the whole schedule at a stop that equates to $6,550 (not including possible re-entry events) in entry fees. That dollar amount offers a good value for mid-level tournament professionals. It could prove to be a good trial run for online tournament pros looking for something to do over the next year.
If a player was really ambitious and played every tournament of every stop they would be looking at total entry fees of $104,800, not including hotel, transportation, food and entertainment. The good news is you could almost certainly guarantee yourself a $10,000 seat in the National Championship.
