Duhamel Home Invasion Update: Bracelet Missing

by Matt Kaufman, Rakeback.com Poker News Editor

A few days ago we reported that 2010 World Series of Poker Main Event champion Jonathan Duhamel was the victim of an assault which took place in his own home.

Several Canadian news sources at that time referred to the men who committed the crime as "thieves", although it was unclear what was stolen.

On Thursday, Duhamel issued a press release in which he explained what happened to him in greater detail. He was beaten up seriously, although he suffered no long-term physical injuries. The thieves escaped with a significant amount of money, a Rolex watch given to Duhamel by PokerStars when he won the Main Event, and his 2010 WSOP World Champion bracelet (pictured to the right). Most of all, he expressed how happy he was just to have survived the ordeal.

The missing items undeniably have a massive amount of sentimental value for Duhamel, and in an attempt to recover them he is offering a reward for information that will help the police in their efforts.

$10,000 will be paid for information leading to both the recovery of his items and the arrest of the criminals. $5,000 will be paid for information leading to either the items or the arrest of the criminals, and $2,500 will be paid for information leading to the recovery of either individual missing item (the bracelet or the watch).

We wish Duhamel the best of luck in his attempts to recover his property, and we hope that the men who committed these crimes are brought to justice.
