Duhamel Update: Four Arrests Made Including a Former Girlfriend

by Matt Kaufman, Rakeback.com Poker News Editor

Over the last several days we have reported that former World Series of Poker Main Event champion Jonathan Duhamel was the victim of a home invasion and assault in which the invaders escaped with his engraved Rolex Submariner watch (shown to the right), a large amount of cash, and his 2010 World Champion bracelet.

Duhamel was briefly hospitalized, but once his health was no longer in jeopardy he turned his attention towards helping the police catch the criminals and recover his property. To do this, he offered an award for information.

On Thursday, several Canadian news sources reported that four individuals have been arrested in connection with these crimes. One of them is a 20-year-old woman who briefly dated Duhamel. She was the only individual arrested who Duhamel knew personally.

Duhamel's watch, a Rolex given to him by PokerStars when he won the Main Event, has been recovered. As of yet, the World Champion bracelet remains missing.

Three of the four individuals arrested have already been charged. The two men who allegedly beat and robbed Duhamel have been charged with breaking and entering, robbery, assault, and forcible confinement. Duhamel's ex has been charged with five offenses, including conspiracy.

We'll keep you informed as this story develops, and we wish the champ the best of luck in finding his missing bracelet.
