Lots of live tournament action happened in the past week. Check out who won the big bucks.
Team PokerStars Pro Victor Ramdin captured The Big Event at the Bicycle Casino. He earned $500,00 for the victory in a heads up battle over fellow Team PokerStars Pro Joe Hachem. Hachem took home $300,000 for his second place finish.
The big news coming from the tournament was the name of the event. The event was originally to be a part of the PokerStars sponsored North American Poker Tour. Five days before the tournament began both PokerStars and The Bicycle Casino mutually agreed to part ways over possible legal ramifications of the online poker site sponsoring the event.
After a grueling 15 hour final table, St. Charles, MO native Pat Walsh captured the title and the $241,700 first place prize. Walsh beat a tough final table which included Ali Eslami (2nd), Joe Tehan, 2010 WSOP Main Event champion Jonathan Duhamel (7th), Team PokerStars Pro Online member Shane Schleger (8th) and the Big Event at the Bike winner and Team PokerStars Pro Victor Ramdin (9th).
The Main Event of the WSOP-Circuit stop at Caesars Palace in Atlantic City drew 442 players. On Sunday Brian Ali took down the first place prize of $139,284 along with the season ending seat in the Tournament of Champions at Caesars Palace Las Vegas.
