WSOP Circuit EventsThe World Series of Poker Circuit Events have become quite popular, and for the first time the WSOP brass have added a National Championship to the schedule.

Big deal, another WSOP Circuit Event. Who cares, right? Well guess what, it’s a bracelet event. The winner of the WSOP Circuit National Championship claims the first WSOP gold bracelet just a few days before the madness of the 58 event WSOP is slated to begin in earnest.

The WSOP Circuit National Championship wrapped up play Sunday at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas and Sam Barnhart walked away with the bracelet and $300K to boot. The Arkansas native, who won his way into the event by winning the WSOP-C Tunica Main Event, claimed the title when his flopped two pair found a way to hold up. Runner-up James Anderson walked away with $200K for his efforts.

The WSOP Circuit National Championship started two days earlier with exactly 100 players. The field consisted of winners of circuit events and was filled out with the top performers throughout the series, which consisted of events held at 15 casinos over the last year. The million dollar prize pool was paid out to the top ten finishers.
