Day 3 of the 2011 Main Event is in the books, and we’re just 159 places from the money. Ben Lamb, the chip leader through the first three days took a few hits and dropped to 174th of the remaining 852 players. Patrick Poirier has taken over as the leader with over a million in chips.

Phil Hellmuth is still alive but will need to find some chips quickly if he plans to run any deeper. Hellmuth is in 770th place with just 77,000 chips.

Four more two hour levels are scheduled for Friday and the players will be back on Saturday for Day 5 action. More than likely the money bubble will be passed midway through play on Friday.
