After over two months of not allowing U.S. players to sign up to play poker, it’s been rumored that the Merge Network will allow players to sign up and play from the United States.
Merge stopped accepting new players from the U.S. on June 2nd in what appeared to be a move to help alleviate problems associated with its rapid growth following Black Friday. Merge remained available to U.S. players following the events of April 15th, which led to the U.S. shutdown of Full Tilt Poker and PokerStars. The sudden increase of players on the Merge network created a backlog in their support and cashout requests, which led to the decision to stop accepting U.S. players until the problems could be resolved.
Within a week, sites on the Merge Poker network are expected to start accepting U.S. players once again and the problem with prompt responses from support should be much improved. The speed of cashouts has also been improved over the last two months as well.
