Phil Hellmuth took down bracelet #13 when he won the World Series of Poker Europe Main Event in the wee hours of Friday morning in Cannes, France. A place where movie stars shine, Hellmuth shined brightly as he ran over the final table on his way to the gold bracelet and €1,022,376.
The Poker Brat was telling the rail after the win that this was the greatest tournament he has ever played in his life. With a stacked final table it's hard to disagree with that statement.
The high stakes poker community is sure to welcome Hellmuth back with open arms. He is well known for dumping large sums of money in Open-Faced Chinese to players such as Brandon Cantu and fellow final-tablist Jason Mercier.
Other notables to reach the final table included multiple bracelet winner Jason Mercier and 2010 November Niner Joseph Cheong. The final table payouts were:
1 – Phil Hellmuth - €1,022,376
2 – Sergii Baranov - €632,592
3 – Stephane Albertini - €423,360
4 – Joseph Cheong - €292,320
5 – Christopher Brammer - €207,648
6 – Paul Tedeschi - €149,184
7 – Stephane Girault - €108,864
8 – Jason Mercier – €84,672
