While the poker world has often seen online poker rooms using concepts originated in live rooms, the opposite has very infrequently been true.
This week, however, the Aria Casino began running games on a new table which allows players to do something that was previously only possible online - playing more than one game at once.
The new game is called Multi Action Poker. 9 players can play at once, and the table has 2 of everything - 2 dealers, 2 decks of cards, 2 dealer buttons, and each player has 2 sets of chips. Player stacks are differentiated by color, so players can't transfer chips from one stack to their other stack.
Basically, the table plays 2 hands at once using almost entirely standard rules. Slightly different rules regarding announcing actions are in effect in order to prevent confusion between the two hands.
The game officially launched on Wednesday. Here's what it looks like:
So, what do you think? Will Multi Action Poker be popular, or will the confusion of playing 2 live games at once turn players off?
