Sam Trickett Accuses Andrew Feldman of Stealing

By , Rakeback.com Poker News Editor

Sam Trickett has been recognized as one of the top poker players in the world over the last few years. At the age of 25 he has over $6.3 million in lifetime tournament earnings and in 2011 he was named "Player of the Year" by the European Poker Awards.

This week on Twitter, Trickett accused Andrew Feldman - a player with over $1 million in tournament earnings himself - of borrowing money from him and refusing to pay it back.

You may remember Feldman as being the young player who cried after losing the PartyPoker Premier League to Andy Frankenberger:

The accusation began vaguely:

Chris Sly, a friend of Trickett's, chimed in to say he witnessed Trickett lending Feldman a large sum of Euros. He quickly got far more specific:

Dan Cates (@junglemandan), Doug Lee (@DougLeePoker) and a number of others have chimed in to criticize Feldman as well.

Feldman's own Twitter account initially was (somewhat strangely) retweeting the accusations mockingly, but now the vast majority of his feed - including everything related to this incident - has been deleted. Perhaps he realized that sarcastic responses to serious accusations aren't exactly the best way to deal with a situation like this.

Feldman will soon be appearing on the UK television show "Secret Millionaire", which certainly suggests he isn't broke and unable to pay back his debts (if they indeed exist). Rakeback.com will make sure to keep an eye out for updates on this incident and any other similar ones.
