In late May, Lock Poker announced that it would be leaving the Merge Gaming Network (home of Carbon Poker and Black Chip Poker), purchasing the Cake Network, and renaming it "Revolution Gaming". Both Lock Poker and Cake Poker would still exist, but as skins on the Revolution Gaming network.
On the morning of May 31st, Lock Poker experienced about 6 hours of downtime beginning at 7:00 am CET, and when the site went back online it was fully operating as part of Revolution Gaming. Lock's player pool was fully integrated with the players that were formerly on Cake Network sites.
Here is a comparison of simultaneous real money cash game traffic at each network over 4 days (Thursday through Sunday) from the week before Lock's move and the week following the move:
Lock Poker's departure from Merge has of course caused a decrease in Merge Gaming traffic, and Revolution Gaming's traffic is roughly doubled. Merge is still slightly larger overall.
