Joe Tehan Dominates NAPT Los Angeles Final Table
By Scott Carlson, Rakeback.com Senior Writer
Joe Tehan entered the final table of the NAPT Los Angeles 5th in chips. He would leave with all of them by knocking out every single player at the final table as he cruised to victory at the Crystal Casino in Compton, California. Tehan toppled a tough final table which included Michael Binger and Team PokerStars Pros Jason Mercier and Anh Van Nguyen. The final table results were as follows:
1st – Joe Tehan – $725,000
2nd – Chris DeMaci -$440,000
3rd – Al Grimes – $250,000
4th – Anh Van Nguyen – $195,000
5th – Ray Henson – $145,000
6th – Michael Binger – $114,000
7th – Jason Mercier – $84,857
8th – Jake Toole – $60,000
Tehan’s victory will certainly go down as one of the more impressive final table performances in tournament poker history. The win marks Tehan’s first major victory since his World Poker Tour win at the Mandalay Bay Poker Championship back in 2006 which was worth a little over $1 million. The win puts him over $3 million in lifetime tournament earnings.
