Anonymous Poker Tables Hit Ladbrokes
By Scott Carlson, Rakeback.com Staff Writer
Late last week Ladbrokes introduced anonymous poker tables to their site. The tables allow you to play without an avatar and screen name. The tables will not allow you or your opponents to take notes on the competition and makes tracking software such as Poker Tracker and Hold’Em Manager unusable. The poker site themselves will still be able to determine the actual players to protect against collusion.
The real question to ask is if this will catch on to some of the bigger poker sites such as PokerStars and Full Tilt. The use of anonymity at the higher stakes most likely would not take off but it could be a tremendous option for the mid-stakes players.
