2011 Aussie Millions Main Event

The Full Tilt Poker sponsored 2011 Aussie Millions Main Event concluded on Saturday with David Gorr winning the title and $2 million AU.

Gorr entered heads up play against James Keys with a massive five-to-one advantage in chips, but Keys whittled Gorr’s stack down until the two were nearly even in chips. After a huge pot where Gorr’s top pair was bested by Keys’ two-pair, Gorr suddenly found himself with a twelve-to-one disadvantage in chips.

Gorr fought back though, and after chipping away relentlessly at Keys’ massive stack of chips, he eventually won the tournament with two-pair that were higher than Keys’ two-pair, and just like that, all the chips were sitting in front of him, along with the trophy and $2 million in Australian cash.
