Scott Montgomery Robbed at Knife Point in Bellagio

By Scott Carlson, Rakeback.com Staff Writer

Scott Montgomery PokerFormer WSOP November Niner Scott Montgomery was robbed at knife point in a Bellagio bathroom on Sunday. Montgomery was playing in a preliminary event for the World Poker Tour Festa al Lago. He was on a break from the tournament when he was robbed. From his Twitter account:

“Got mugged today at Bellagio. Black guy pulled a knife on me in the restroom. I gave him the $2k in my wallet and he left.”

“I called security, but they took like 15 mins so they didn’t catch him. They are useless twits. Didn’t even ask me to look at camera footage.”

“Security pretty much just said oh well, life sucks, have a nice day. I’m pretty annoyed.“

“Bellagio gave me a buffet comp in return for being mugged. I lol’ed. “

The attack on the Full Tilt Pro is the second well publicized robbery or attempted robbery of a poker player on Bellagio property. Team Poker Stars Pro Greg Raymer was approached my two men outside his hotel room who tried to rob him back in 2004. He fought off the pair who were later arrested and convicted.

In a more upbeat story, Montgomery has met his Full Tilt match in Annette Obrestad. The two are now dating. Quite a poker power couple.
