Peter Eastgate Selling WSOP Bracelet on Ebay
By Scott Carlson, Rakeback.com Senior Reporter
Peter Eastgate is selling his 2008 WSOP Main Event bracelet on Ebay. According to the auction site proceeds from the sale are going to UNICEF. UNICEF supports child survival, protection, and development worldwide thru education, advocacy, and fundraising. The bracelet currently has one bid entered for $16,000. Who placed the bid? None other than Rakeback.com!
Eastgate, the former Team PokerStars Pro, announced this summer that he was retiring from poker. He originally was going to just play the WSOP Main Event as he was enjoying the World Cup in South Africa during the month of June, but he had a change of heart and retired.
This isn’t the first time a WSOP bracelet was auctioned off on Ebay. Back in January T.J. Cloutier auctioned off his bracelet. The eventual winners of the bidding, Cake Poker, reportedly gave the bracelet back to Cloutier.
