The first statement really happened, but unfortunately the second never had a chance to happen because poker fans didn’t get to watch Annette Obrestad‘s amazing historic victory in the 2007 World Series of Poker Europe main event due to the fact that it was never televised on ESPN.
Now, in an effort to right a wrong, ESPN will broadcast this weekend the 2008 World Series of Poker Europe main event for the first time. Front and center will be none other than Annette Obrestad who now at the ripe age of 20 will be defending her title. The first four episodes will air beginning on Super Bowl Sunday, February 1 from 6pm-10pm on ESPN The first two episodes will be rebroadcast that same night beginning at 10pm on ESPN2.
