Fox Sports Net Signs on for World Poker Tour Season VIII
The World Poker Tour has announced that cable station Fox Sports Net which broadcasted the WPT’s seventh season, will also plans to air Season VIII. The new season is supposed to begin filming sometime during the middle of this year. The official air dates will be released at a later date.
The World Poker Tour is broadcasted on Sunday nights on Fox Sports Net which is composed of 16 regional television stations that reach over 80 million homes across the United States. The newly signed agreement calls for 26 episodes to comprise Season VIII and Fox Sports Net will have exclusive rights to air the episodes across the United States. Hosts Mike Sexton and Vice Van Patten have been calling the action since the beginning of the series and both hosts are expected to return again for Season VIII. Just who will be the hostess has yet to be determined.
