FTOPS XI Main Event won by csimmsux

Last weekend saw several historical tournaments held during the Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS). One of the largest draws for players on the FTOPS calendar was the $535 buy-in $2.5 million guaranteed Main Event. A total of 5,287 players showed up to play in the FTOPS XI Main Event which was eventually won by Adam “csimmsux” Geyer.

The largest field for an FTOPS XI event wound up also being one of its cheapest tournaments. The $129 No Limit Hold’em Knockout Event brought in a record setting 9,061 players, far surpassing the 7,000 players who attended the same tournament during FTOPS X. The win went to girlyhurly who turned a paltry $129 into $144,000.

Getting under way on Saturday and stretching into Sunday was the $5,200 buy-in Two Day Event, the richest tourney offered on the FTOPS schedule. The 500 player field more than covered the $2.5 million guaranteed prize pool and at the end of the two day grind, fyrtuk managed to edge out Ultimate Bet Star Player Adam “Roothlus” Levy heads up, taking home $625,000 for his efforts.
