PokerStars Has Money Freed Up
It’s been reported that the U.S. Department of Justice has released money from a frozen account owned by PokerStars. It’s not clear exactly how much money has been freed up from the account, but it’s a good bet that it’s regarding the September 3rd press release from the DoJ which references the release of $5.5 million from a PokerStars account.
PokerStars has been able to cash out over $125 million to U.S. players with balances in their accounts.
Alderney Will Continue Full Tilt Poker Hearing
Monday, the Alderney Gambling Control Commission announced that it will reconvene on September 19th to continue its hearing regarding the status of Full Tilt Poker’s licensing issues.
The first attempt at a hearing in late July didn’t accomplish much, and after an outburst from professional player Harry Demetriou, it was decided to suspend the hearing until a later date.
