“Does anyone want to buy a slide?”
— Phil Galfond (@PhilGalfond) April 15, 2011
The above tweet was sent out by poker pro Phil Galfond on Black Friday. Galfond was joking about the possibility that the events of that day would perhaps force him to sell his home, which was well-known in the poker world for having a slide between its two floors.
Galfond is a high-stakes poker pro who focuses largely on online play, and in the past few months he decided to move to Canada to continue playing online poker on whichever sites he chooses to. This week, he finally put his two-story Manhattan apartment up for sale, and it is quite spectacular.
The Wall Street Journal even decided to focus on the listing:
The duplex has 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, a terrace, 2,400 square feet of living space, and of course, the slide. If you’ve got $4 million to spend on a new home, why on earth wouldn’t you want one with a slide?
