PPA Rally Draws Millions, OK Maybe a Dozen

The Poker Player’s Alliance staged a rally on Capitol Hill Tuesday that failed to draw big numbers but brought out a World Series of Poker Champion.
According to a USA Today report the event drew 50-75 participants, but looking at pictures from the event floating around on the internet, we’d say that the number is more like 15-20, unless they’re counting Greg Raymer as 45 people.
Raymer, the 2004 World Series of Poker Main Event Champion was on hand to lend his support for the rally, dubbed a “Fly In”. We’re sure there’s a logical explanation for the term “Fly In” but we haven’t found it yet.
The rally also included politicians in favor of bringing legalized online poker to fruition in the United States. Linda “The First Lady of Poker” Johnson was also on hand to lend her support.
While we applaud the PPA for their ongoing efforts to make legalized online poker a reality, it’s sometimes just too easy…
