WSOP to Offer Free Seminars
By Ian Hiaring, Rakeback.com Poker News Staff Writer
This summer during the 42nd World Series of Poker, players and fans are invited to attend any or all of eleven different free seminars on poker strategy.
The seminars will be hosted by professional players who are donating their time for these events. Those attending the seminars aren’t required to pay a cent, but the hope is that attendees will consider a $20 donation to Bad Beat on Cancer or pledge 1% of their World Series of Poker tournament winnings.
The WSOP is teaming with their official charities, the Prevent Cancer Foundation and the Nevada Cancer Institute to offer these seminars, whose presenters include all-time poker greats Doyle Brunson and Phil Hellmuth.
Each seminar will be an hour in length with 45 minutes of lecture/discussion followed by a 15 minute interactive question and answer session from the audience. Conveniently, the seminars will take place in the Brasilia Ballroom at the Rio Convention Center which is adjacent to the area where the WSOP events will be played.
The entire schedule can be found on the official World Series of Poker website.
