Party Poker “rakeback” is paid on demand via the internal Palladium rewards program. The maximum value you can receive is acquired by trading in your Party Points exclusively for bonuses. The option to trade in for cash exists as well, but provides less value. For example, if you are a Palladium VIP Level player who has collected 20,000 points and you want to trade them in, you have two options. You can take $1,500 in cash OR a $3,000 bonus. Acquiring 20,000 points means that you've paid about $10,000 in rake to Party. Therefore, taking the $1,500 in cash is only worth 15% of the money you paid in rake, but the $3,000 bonus is equal to 30% effective rakeback.

To get a VIP level, earn the required number of PartyPoints during one month or quarter. Once you reach a VIP level, you can immediately use your PartyPoints to buy rewards available to that level for the remainder of the month or quarter, and the one following it.
