Partypoker’s cash game traffic has soared since it launched its Summer of Grind promotion. Players have until August 14 to grind fastforward cash game hands and Sit & Gos to earn a free payout of up to $1,500.
At a time of the year when cash game traffic is typically reaching a seasonal low, the action on partypoker is booming. The Summer of Grind is handing out so much free cash that players have flocked back to the tables to take advantage.
The Summer of Grind rewards for cash game players are all based on play at fastforward tables. These are partypoker’s variant on fast-fold poker where players move to a new table after every hand, and can fold as soon as they have seen their cards. This makes for many more hands per hour, and no hanging around when you are not involved in a hand yourself.
The Summer of Grind provides an extra cash incentive to get in a lot of hands.
The fastGrind Mission offers four mission objectives:
Rewards are cumulative, so the total payout for completing all four missions is $1,500. Play must be at fastforward tables on stakes $0.05/$0.10 and above. Heads-up fastforward tables are excluded.
The Sit & Go missions are open to players at Sit & Go tables with buy-ins of $10 or above. Heads-up tournaments are excluded.
The four Sit & Grind Missions are:
Although the Summer of Grind promotion has already started, there is still plenty of time to make a big dent in the missions before the final day on August 14.
The fast way to build up Sit & Go targets is to play the new Sit & Go HERO tournaments. These are a type of lottery Sit & Go where the prize pool can be up to 10,000 times the buy-in.
Sit & Go HERO tournaments have five different buy-in levels to suit all players bankrolls, $1, $3, $5, $10, and $20, and the prize pool played for is randomly selected once four players have bought in.
Also determined at random is the player who will play with a bounty on their heads, with this bounty being worth up to $50,000.
Most of the time the winner of a Sit & Go HERO tournament walks away with 75% of the prize pool, with the remaining 25% being used for the bounty. However, when the multiplier reaches the 50x -1,000x level, those players finishing in second and third place also receive a share.
When the multiplier hits the huge 10,000x jackpot, second, third, and fourth place each receive 15% of the prize pool, while the champion walks away with the rest.
Since its takeover by UK company GVC, partypoker has been reinvigorated with additional management focus determined to make the poker room one of the world’s most popular.
With the Summer of Grind, they are showing that they are putting their marketing dollars where their mouth is.
