Party Poker Heads-Up Tournaments
Party Poker Heads-Up Tournaments are tournaments with only two players at each table. The winner at each table advances to another round until there is a final champion. Here is an example of the structure:
If the number of players registered in a heads-up tournament is not a power of 2 (2, 4, 8, 16, 32, etc.), then some players are given a bye and do not have to play in the first round. The players who receive a bye are chosen at random, and players can only receive one for the first round.
In both PartyPoker heads-up tournaments and whenever any No Limit Hold’em is being played heads-up, the following rules apply:
- The player without the button is dealt first.
- The player with the button is the small blind, and acts first before the flop.
- The player without the button is the big blind, and acts first after the flop.
