Playing for play money can teach you some of the finer points of your own game perhaps.. it can teach you different things about the mechanics of a game (like how often it is that when you're on a draw you will miss. knowing the percentages is different from having the expierence behind it).. but i certainly agree with pinnie, that you should certainly not go into a real money game and try to play it like you would a play money game..

keep in mind that where play money is concerned, you have essentially changed poker from a game of Betting into a game of Cards.. big, big difference..
