Default Are You a Pot Better?

Post flop play.

Does the amount of the pot influence your bet? I find post flop if I am going to bet, it is usually around the size of the pot. Sometimes a little higher or lower, but most of the time I find I want to bet something around the size of the pot. I very rarely will bet the minimum, if I bet. If I have a monster and I want to milk the cow, well that is different, but even with top pair, good kicker, no flush or straight draw, my bet will be about pot value.

Example: Pot is 1200, I want to bet, good hand or bluff, I would never bet 1-200. The bet would be probably in the range of 800-1600 (If my stack can take the hit, if short, well then shove all in)

It is hard for me to quantify the percentages of times I bet the pot, but I would guess it in the 80-90% range.

Thanks,
