I agree betting there was pretty retarded given that one more elimination brought out the money. But, there was a side pot and poker is (and should be) an every-man-for-himself game. Your "live" opponent got 1450 of his 2000 investment returned while you lost all 2000. Even after tripling up, the short stack has less than a round left to play. I would think bubble play actually benefits you as the biggest stack as you can bully everyone and they will fold almost everything trying to get into the money. In that regard, dummy did you a favor. Why also, may I ask, are you calling with K6s if you are worried about shorty tripling up. It costs the SB 275 to call - He's not going to fold, so AI player is going to have to show down. Either raise to isolate and take the extra 1000 chips (what I would have done), or fold.
