Interesting, I have found myself betting a little more of that lately, but I would say it is closer to the 75% of pot value. You save a few chips, have an easier fold option with less investment and may still take it down right there. Maybe my pot percentage numbers are a little high from earlier, but I probably still tend to base most of my bets on the pot size.
