"Everything Online Poker" was the title...I had bought it for Carrie since she's still not quite comfortable with the online thing, and she needs to learn the aspects of the different games, not just hold-em. But I was bored before work and decided to flip through the pages when I came across that statement, and I laughed so hard I just had to share it
The rest of the book seems to be pretty accurate, so it hasn't thrown me from letting Carrie read it. Although I am on the lookout for Phil Gordon's boxed set...that is something we both can benefit from. I've thumbed through Harrington and Sklansky's books when at a friend's house who owns them, but to me they read a lot like stereo instructions, and I lost interest fairly quickly LOL. Perhaps when I have more time on my hands to read and absorb the information from their books, I'll get more enjoyment from it. It's just the day I was browsing through them I was on a tight schedule and the first few things I read definitely showed I'd need much more time than I had. |
