I also want to toss a bit of information out here.
There may be times when it feels like the poker sites are rigged, but anyone that has played live games for hours can tell you that the beats are just as bad in real life games.
I know that I've suffered worse beats in real life than anything that's EVER happened online. I've also seen some crazy things in real life that feel like they were rigged. A lot of what you're seeing is just the nature of the game.
Sometimes people can get wrapped up in thinking their play style is good because they have won money and/or are running well. Then when the swing starts coming back the other way, they are unable to make adjustments to compensate for it.
The game is a harsh one. There are ups and downs, you just have to ride them. The games online aren't any different than real life. I see people raise, fold, and shove with all kinds of hands (and logic) that doesn't make sense. These things happen.
As a word of advice, don't start out by blaming the sites. Be honest in reviewing your play. Get someone else to look over your hand histories. See if there were ways you could have played some hands differently. Maybe even put the ego aside and drop down limits to try a different play style.
It makes no sense for sites to try to force suckouts. It would cost them way more money than it would create. And it also wouldn't make sense that there are so many people can play well consistently online and make a living doing it. |
