In my experience, that would be nice... but it add administrative overhead because most bad beat stories will be posted somewhere else, even with an area for them special.
Another nice thing about a bad beat section is that is makes a great "catch-all" for bad threads... the person asking for the freeroll password 5 minutes after it's already begun... bad beat section... etc.
I'm not saying we really need a bad beat section. But it's not a bad idea either.
