Even though poker is a game of diversity, many people think there should be guidlines on how people should act, when in fact, there really isn't any.
Yeah, people may complain to the floor manager about someone's antics, and they may get something told to them about it, but other than that, people have a right to act how they want. I'm not saying Scotty should have acted the way he did, but what I am saying, is that he had every right to. Doesn't make it right, but he does have that on his side.
Scotty Nguyen is one of my Idols, along with Daniel Negreanu. Daniel is more laid back, but has fun at the same time, while Scotty (as you can see here) is more open about his emotions, and will do what he pleases. Scotty (like Men 'The Master' Nguyen) plays only with a beer in his hand. Thats there trademark. If you think of them, you think poker, and beer/drunk. Once emotions get envolved with drunk people (espically Scotty, who wears his emotions on his sleve), things start to get a little out of hand.
Some people may think that his antics were out of line at this final table, but thats Scotty. Thats how he plays. Think of it as a Phil Hellmuth blow up. He shouldn't do it, but thats him. He banters, cusses, swears, throws chips around, etc. when he is having one of his blow ups. No body makes a big deal out of it because one, everyone is used to it, and two, if they do, he will banter on more, and it would throw people off there game. Much like Scotty did to Michael DeMichelle.
Now I'm not saying he is in the right, or in the wrong with his antics here. I am simply stating what he is allowed and not allowed to do. I personally think that he didn't get any penality's for saying the F-bomb, or any other curse words was because he was on T.V., and he is known to do that kind of stuff. Just look at the Main Event of last year with Scotty's meltdown.
