Stupid Viruses...
Well poor Carrie (not knowing any better) clicked on something today while I was at work and now we're ate up with a virus again *sighs* The good thing is it seems to be a fairly harmless one...by way of tracking cookies...causes pop ups at random...could just be a worm...not really sure just yet since I just got home. The problem is, I found the source files but cannot delete them because they are masked/encrypted. Tried using online anti-virus tools (The usual...BitDefender, Trend Micro, Kaspersky...the best), but it did the same thing our old pc did...shut down Java so the scanners were unable to open, function or run. *sighs*
Anyway just thought I'd let you know why I'm a bit scarce in case it gets any worse (like the last one did) and might not be able to get on at all anymore. I'm really hoping this doesn't end up to be the case.
Can't really afford it but going to have to purchase a full version anti-virus and hope that it will work/run.
Cross your fingers for me.... |
