Well if you treat poker like a business, then taking out a loan to jump start your professional poker career, might not be a "bad" idea but it doesn't help you alot. It is like taking a loan out for any business you wish to start, your starting off in debt, with something that take times to build (your book/reg losers list for max profit or customer base in business world).

But as for asking people for money or offering prop bets online, I am completely against it unless it is an exchange like I did the other day, $5 on FT for $5 on Nordica. and as for prop bets, only do those in RL with RL friends, and people that I trust online. That's it.
