Lynda, although AVG's full version might offer more protection, the free version was actually on my other computer that got whacked by a mean virus...AVG didn't detect it at all...so that's the only reason I suggested BitDefender instead because their database seems to have a much wider scan range, as far as the types of baddies it detects...like I said tho I don't know about the full version it might very well be just as good as BitDefender, I just know the free version failed me miserably.
